This wine is a blend of several classic grape varieties harvested from vineyards along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea and foothills of France’s Cevennes mountains. The wine receives its light, rosy color from brief contact between the juice and skins prior to a long, cool fermentation. Taste: We love the color pink especially when its tastes like this! Established 1962. Wetzel Family Estate. Small Sangiovese vineyards are farmed exclusively for this rose. Heavy pruning promotes even ripening while maintaining acidity and minerality in the grapes. We leave the juice in contact with the skins for a few hours to achieve the perfect pink hue, then cold ferment in stainless steel to maintain the bright flavors.
