Turkey Burgers with Avocado Slaw & Sweet Potato Fries

Ingredients
1 (16 oz) pkg ground turkey
1 Tbs low-sodium soy sauce
1 Tbs Dijon mustard
1 Tbs sesame oil
1 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp steak seasoning
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1 pkg Brookshire’s Bakery Onion Hamburger Buns
1 medium avocado, peeled and pitted
2 Tbs fresh parsley, chopped
1/4 cup lime juice
2 Tbs water
1 Tbs red wine vinegar
1/4 tsp salt
3 cups coleslaw mix
2 large sweet potatoes, peeled
2 Tbs olive oil
1 Tbs cornstarch
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, soy sauce, mustard, sesame oil, Worcestershire sauce, steak seasoning, garlic powder and ginger.
- Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes before cooking.
- To make the slaw, puree the avocado, parsley, lime juice, water, vinegar and salt in a blender.
- Toss the dressing with the coleslaw to combine.
- Refrigerate until ready to build burgers.
- Preheat oven to 425° F.
- Remove the ends of the sweet potatoes.
- Cut potatoes into 1/4-inch matchsticks.
- Soak the cut potatoes in a bowl of water for 30 minutes.
- Remove from water. Rinse, and dry completely.
- Toss the dried sweet potatoes with olive oil to coat.
- In a small bowl, combine the cornstarch, paprika and garlic powder.
- Sprinkle evenly over the potatoes.
- On a parchment-lined baking sheet, spread the potatoes in an even layer.
- Bake for 30 to 40 minutes, flipping the fries halfway through cooking time.
- Remove from oven.
- Season with salt.
- To cook the burgers, heat a skillet over high heat.
- Add the vegetable oil.
- Place burgers in the skillet.
- Cook for 6 minutes per side.
- Place in a 350° F oven for 10 minutes or until an instant-read meat thermometer registers 170° F.
- Place the burgers on buns, and top with the slaw. Serve with sweet potato fries
