Refreshing, sweet and simple to make. This Limonana slushy beverage is popular in Middle Eastern areas and is a great choice for a hot sunny day!

Ingredients
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 cups water, divided
3 cups ice
1 cup lemon juice, freshly squeezed
1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
lemon slices, for garnish
mint sprigs, for garnish
Directions
  1. In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and 3/4 cup of water over low heat.
  2. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
  3. Let cool to room temperature.
  4. Add sugar water to a blender with remaining water, ice, lemon juice and mint leaves.
  5. Pulse until ice is thoroughly crushed and mixture is slushy.
  6. Taste, and adjust ingredients (if necessary).
  7. Pour into glasses.
  8. Garnish with lemon slices and mint sprigs.
