10 year old. Matured in wood. Fonseca Guimaraens. Bottled by Quinta and Vineyard Bottlers Vinhos SA, Oporto, Portugal. Established 1822. This fine old tawny was carefully selected 10 years ago for maturing in small casks at our lodges in Vila Nova de Gaia. The long contact with wood produces rich mellow flavors of dried fruit and nuts. This type of maturing requires great dedication from the winemakers and blenders and only limited quantities are made. Served at room temperature or slightly chilled this fine port is a perfect accompaniment to many desserts, or cheese, or on its own with almonds or walnuts. Bottled in 2008. Alc by vol 20%.
